Your standards are based on how you think, how much you know, and what experiences you take on.
Many times I have run across people that don’t know how to swim. I will aggressively joke with them that: “you know 2 and 3 year olds know how to swim right? Are you smarter?, a 500 lb guy can swim easily as well, no problem”. Many times they will kick back and say it’s a fear, some ppl never learn. One person I challenged, and she went the next week to the gym swim training and learned. Standards are set by us. We can choose to level up those standards. Many employees I’ve had and people I’ve known see a regular house and say aloud “wow, one day I might afford that” or see a brand new luxury car and think they will never afford it. Truth be told, it’s already within reach. I had one worker who spent 30$ a day on cigarettes, buying packs a day. That’s 900$ a month, easily enough to afford a brand new luxury car, not even figuring into the equation of increasing skill and making more money.
Most people meet someone and fall in love and breakup, and sometimes heartbreak sets in and they say they will never meet another person as good. There are almost 8 billion people in the world. Learn how to meet people like yourself. Don’t be a victim, don’t be left each day wanting something. Raise your standards, say it’s possible, Go out and get it.
